I am a common sense practitioner with a passion for technology, but most important on how technology can help people in their jobs and lives. I am interested in strategy, strategy execution and project implementation.
Back in the 90s I got a bachelor degree in business administration and a MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona. Later, I attended executive courses at Harvard University (John F. Kennedy School of Government) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I am also a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
I am currently the Director of Innovation for a government services company (+25,000 employees operating in over 35 countries). I live in Madison, Wisconsin but my office is at headquarters in Washington, DC. I travel there regularly as well as to other countries of the world on a as-needed basis.
In a previous stage of my life (1991-1998) I was a full time professor at ESADE Business School in Barcelona. There I was part of the Business Policy and Management of Information Systems departments and I taught undergraduate, graduate and executive courses. I currently teach periodically at ESADE as well as at the Wisconsin School of Business (Executive Education) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
On top of what I just mentioned I am also interested in a lot of other things (philosophy of science, mathematics, management, literature, science fiction, information technology, etc.) and I wish I can continue learning everyday.
